Cockroach Rap Sheet

Name: Cockroach (German)
AKA: Bugsy, Deutsch
Scientific Name: Blattella germanica
Description: 1/2 - 3/4 inches; other species can reach 3 inches in length; flat oval body, light brown to medium brown with two dark longitudinal streaks on the thorax. Antennae are long and filiform. Adults with spiny legs and wings; there are two partly hardened front wings and two clear softer hind wings. Fast runners but awkward fliers.
Diet: Cockroaches are scavengers and will eat just about anything including things that aren't edible (food, leather, hair, paper, wallpaper, books, fabric and food in your garbage).
Habitat: Primarily in warmer climates especially the tropics. When they do migrate north, hidden in boxes of bananas or tropical fruits, they setup house keeping in warm damp areas in the house. They become serious pests and establish themselves in bathrooms, kitchens and basements.
Wanted For: Contaminating food and surfaces in your kitchen or bathroom, smelling unpleasant and annoying homeowners.
Last Known Location: Under the refrigerator, in the garbage can or in your toaster.
