- You can use our list of Keywords (be sure your browser allows pop-ups) if you are unsure of your keyword choice or spelling.
- Leave the category set at "All categories" to search the entire database. If you choose a specific category, only those images in that specific category will be searched using your keywords. Just choosing a category will allow you to view all images in that category.
- When using multiple keywords, choose the broadest search term, and proceed to narrow your focus by using more specific terms. For example, to find cat fleas, use flea as your first keyword term, and cat as your second keyword term. If you are just looking for flea images, you only need to use one keyword, flea.
- Use the wildcard character "*" in front of, in back of, or on both sides of a keyword term if you want a broader search on a letter string instead of a word; "ant*" will return ants, antibodies, antenna, etc. You may use the wildcard character "*" after an Image Number to obtain different color versions of an image.
- Use the detail page (by clicking on the thumbnail image) to locate keywords that might be useful to you in further searches.
