Caption: Drug store beetle larva (Stegobium paniceum). The drug store beetle is a comon pest that can infest almost any dry animal or plant material, especially grain products. It is usual pest of pharmacies where it infests drugs / domestic products and breakfast foods, biscuits and herbs. The female lays about 75 eggs amongst stored foodstuffs during a life-span of 40 to 90 days. The adult does not feed or cannot fly.
