Caption: Moraxella osloensis - gram-negative, aerobic, lactose-nonfermenting, coccoid / coccobacillus bacterium. It is part of the human flora, escpecially the upper respiratory tract and occasionally of the skin and urogenital tract. M. osloensis has been implicated in a variety of infections, which include: conjunctivitis, wound sepsis, vaginal discharges, meningitis, brain abscess, septicemia, endocarditis, arthritis osteomyelitis and urethritis. M. catarrhalis is another species that is pathogenic in humans.
